How it all started
In 2008, Henrik Lund Stærmose and Per Dahlgaard Pedersen were both employed at Motorola in Aalborg. In December same year, the crisis closed down all of Motorola departments which were leaving Henrik and Per without a job. Along with some Motorola colleagues, Henrik and Per decided to create their own business within information and communication technologies.
After several meetings in different locations, someone in the group had heard about a cold store where they had a man who turned off the power when the electricity price was at its highest to save money. The idea of a better and more efficient solution to this issue arose. However, a solution to this issue was already on the market but the technology needed much improvement and the price was high. With the group’s experience and skills, it was possible to transfer these to the energy sector, and thus contribute to a new perspective within Smart Grid solutions.
